Migration timeline depends on data volume. For small organizations (under 1TB), expect 5-7 days. Medium organizations (1-5TB) typically take 7-10 days. Large enterprises (5TB+) may require 10-14 days. We use incremental migration to minimize disruption, and users can continue working during most of the process.

Yes! We preserve complete version history for all documents and files. This includes all previous versions, version comments, modified by information, and timestamps. Version history is critical for compliance and auditing, so we ensure it's fully maintained during migration.

All permissions and sharing settings are migrated and mapped to the new tenant. This includes user permissions, group permissions, sharing links, and unique permission inheritance. We verify permissions after migration to ensure users have appropriate access to their files and sites.

Custom solutions require special handling. SharePoint Designer workflows, custom web parts, and third-party solutions need to be recreated or reconfigured in the new tenant. We assess all customizations during discovery and provide recommendations for migration or modernization. Power Automate flows can often be exported and imported with minimal changes.

No significant downtime! Users can continue working in the source tenant during migration. We use incremental migration with delta syncs to capture changes. The only brief interruption is during final cutover (typically 1-2 hours) when we redirect users to the new tenant. We schedule this during off-peak hours to minimize impact.

We use enterprise-grade migration tools optimized for large files and high data volumes. Files are migrated in parallel streams to maximize throughput. For very large files (over 15GB), we use special handling to ensure successful transfer. Our tools automatically retry failed transfers and provide detailed progress reporting.

All metadata, custom columns, and content types are preserved during migration. We recreate the metadata structure in the destination tenant before migrating content, ensuring all custom properties are maintained. This includes managed metadata, lookup columns, and calculated fields.

We make any necessary adjustments based on pilot results before proceeding with full migration. User acceptance testing is also included.
